Automatic Payment Plan
No more worrying about late charges or making time to drop off the utility bill. Automatic payment makes it easy and hassle free to send your payments in on time.
Automatic Payment Plan eliminates the need to write a check and send it in the mail to pay your utility bill.
Customers can authorize their financial institution to pay their utility bill from their checking or savings account. This plan may be entered into at anytime throughout the year.
Automatic Payment Plan customers will still be mailed a regular monthly bill approximately 20 days before the due date. This allows the customer sufficient time to review the bill and resolve any questions.
The payment by the customer's financial institution will occur on the due date indicated on the utility bill, or the next business day if that date falls on a holiday or weekend. The utility payment will be shown on the customer's monthly bank statement.

We at Carthage Water & Electric Plant know that you count on us for reliable power. Despite the protections built into our system, it's not always possible to prevent surges. Lightning, a sudden demand for power, or other factors outside our control, may cause power surges.
To help safeguard your electronic equipment, CW&EP is now offering a full line of surge protectors. Whether it's A/C, telephone, or television, we have a wide selection of equipment that will meet your needs. All of our surge protectors come with a lifetime warranty for the product and connected equipment. We are also pleased to make available, through a monthly lease, a meter based "Surge Diverter". This product is designed to protect your household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, and dishwashers.
